I loved this book as a kid, I read all the sequels, and having only just rediscovered it as an adult, I found I loved it no less for having grown up (sort of). I've tried a couple of times to watch the movie version, but I just can’t get into it-probably because they cast American actors and this is very much an English story, despite its reliance on American western mythology.
